The retreat

Time, slowed down — for the two of you.

The reality

You can love your life and still miss each other.

From the outside, things may look great. You’re building something meaningful. Taking care of your family. Working toward goals you once only dreamed about.

But somewhere between the responsibilities and the next big thing, being partners can start feeling like running a household together. Your conversations become updates. Your time together becomes an afterthought. And “we’ll make time soon” becomes something you both keep saying.

Maybe one of you wants to keep pushing while the other wants to feel more present in the life you already have. Maybe you’re both driven but you’re no longer sure you’re heading in the same direction.

You don’t have to wait until something is wrong to give your marriage more attention.

Real Retreat Moments

Turning tension into understanding, together.

The work

Make room for the conversations you keep putting off.

Living with a Monster creates space to explore these questions with intention. Step away from the usual demands and give yourselves permission to focus on your relationship what’s working, what feels difficult, and what you want next.

Make time for us
  • What do you need more of from each other?

  • What does success look like for both of you?

  • How do you support a big vision while making sure neither partner feels overlooked?

The approach

Ambition has a place in your marriage. So do both of you.

Being driven can create incredible opportunities. It can also create tension when two people experience that drive differently. This retreat invites you to look beyond the surface of those differences and better understand the person beside you.

Understand each other more deeply.

Explore how your personalities, expectations, and ambitions shape the way you communicate — and what each of you needs to feel understood.

Make room for both partners.

Consider how to support each other’s goals while protecting space for your own identity, strengths, and fulfillment.

Define success together.

Look beyond the next professional milestone. Talk about the marriage, family life, and everyday experiences you want your hard work to support.

Bring intention into everyday life.

Identify the conversations, boundaries, and habits you want to prioritize when you return home.

The goal is a partnership where both of you have a voice in the life you’re building.

  • Your marriage is strong, and you want to keep investing in it.
  • You’re both willing to listen, participate, and make room for a new perspective.
